The multi-faceted approach is accomplished by producing professional development seminars, bringing online communication that delivers instant answers, and of course, publishing a world class magazine.
Profiles
Each Student has the opportunity to provide a short summary of their personal and professional experience. This summary and a professional head shot will be featured in the magazine with your own unique LinkedIn url. On the Profiles page you will find a list of questions to help you formulate a profile. Please keep to this format for the sake of consistency for the magazine.
Workshops-Events
Orientation and Professional Head Shots: An orientation will take place shortly after the Top 40 have been selected. Here you will learn more about the program and what to expect throughout the process. At this time, there will be a professional photographer on hand to take a professional head shot for your magazine and LinkedIn profiles. There will be two sessions available for your scheduling convenience. Please wear business attire.
LinkedIn Workshops: Advantage Business Magazine will be conducting two LinkedIn workshops for your convenience. Learn to put together a professional LinkedIn Profile and how to market yourself on LinkedIn. For an outline of what will be covered in the workshop, go to the workshop page.
Reception and Recognition Ceremony: A reception in your honor will be held at DCOB. Local Business Community Leaders will be invited to meet the Top 40 winners. A recognition ceremony will immediately follow the reception, where each winner will receive a certificate of recognition, along with a specially designed lapel pin.
